    How to Cook Chapati

Chapati is a flat bread made of wheat flour. It is usually served with a stew, tea etc, but it is very versatile: it can be used just like a normal toast or as a side to many dishes.
The meal is common in Asia and Africa.

Prep time is about 1hour while cooking takes about 10 minutes. Ingredients to make about 10 chapatis are:
    2 cups of wheat flour
    1 cup warm water
    1 tsp salt
    1-2 tsp. of fat

Place 2 cups of wheat flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, about 1/2 teaspoon of fat into a bowl and mix well using your hands.
    • Add half a cup of warm water to the flour mixture and stir until it's soft.
    • Go on adding the water until you've added the mixture and the dough has come together. You can now knead the dough with your knuckles until it's soft and round. Do this for about 10 minutes.
    • Putthe dough into an oiled bowl and cover it for 25 minutes and cover with a cloth or cling wrap.
    • Subdivide the dough into about ten small balls, and dip them into flour.
    • Roll the balls with a rolling pin until they are thin and round.
    • Using a heated frying pan, heat and cook each chapati on both sides flipping it over and raise the heat a bit. Cook until blisters appear on both sides of the chapati.
    • Remove from the heat, and wrap in a towel  or put in a container until your are ready to serve.
