Former Housing Minister and Malava MP Peter Soita Shitanda is dead at the age of 57. He died at in the afternoon on Tuesday at Nairobi hospital where he had been receiving treatment for over two weeks. He was sufferig from diabetes.
He has been the serving Chairman of the board of the Agricultural Development Corporation. The late MP hailed from Butali in Malava constituency.
Mr Shitanda was elected as MP for Malava constituency in 1997 on a Ford Kenya ticket after defeating former health Minister, the late Joshua Angatia. Later in 2005 he was appointed Housing Minister during a cabinet reshuffle in 2005 by fromer President Kibaki.
